The Australian High Commission in Port Vila manages the Australian Government’s presence in Vanuatu. We promote Australia’s interests, facilitate international trade and investment, deliver development assistance, respond to crises and provide services to Australian citizens. Under general direction, the AFP Office Manager provides a range of operational, administrative and financial support to the AFP Liaison Officer. The position is based in Port Vila but may be required to travel to other locations based on operational and administrative requirements.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Tertiary qualification or at least two years’ professional experience in an administration and/or finance related role
► Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications
► Strong communication and interpersonal skills in written and spoken English and Bislama, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
► Ability to manage administration, including finance support and information management, in accordance with Australian High Commission policies
► Must have a pre-existing legal right to work in Vanuatu
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Ability to work independently and with autonomy
► Experience undertaking financial and contract management
► Demonstrated ability to expertly manage meetings, functions and visits, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
► Experience in asset and information management
