Full-Time ACTIVITIES OFFICER

Iririki Island Resort & Spa Port Vila, Efate

Job Description

The Activities Officer will perform the following tasks to the highest standards and reporting to the Front Office Manager:

  • Liaise with Front Office Manager or Activities Supervisor to create a safe environment for all guest and children attending the kids club and activities facilities
  • Ensure all parents fill in the registration form for their children correctly, containing the history of the child
  • Create an inventory for all equipment at the Activities outlets
  • Ensure all equipment are clean and properly maintained
  • Inform Front Office Manager or Activities Supervisor for any need of additional equipment or replacement of equipment
  • Assist with implementation of special activity events
  • Promote guest activities and events
  • Ensure to follow daily, weekly and monthly activity schedules as instructed by the Guest Relations Manager/ Supervisor
  • Ensure all rules and regulations are enforced at all times
  • Maintain clean and tidy work area at all times
  • Be fully aware of Resort’s facilities, timings, promotions and prices
  • Assist with planning and developing Kids Club, sport and recreation programs in order to ensure that activities and events are made available for all Resort guest
  • Implement recreation programs to ensure that guests have access to sport, recreation and leisure activities
  • Administer recreation programs to ensure that programs are delivered within guidelines and budgets
  • Promote recreation and sport programs in order to ensure that guests are aware of available opportunities and activities
  • Perform other related duties and assignment as required by the Management.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Experience in hospitality and tourism industry
  • Experience in a customer services role
  • Guest service orientation and drive
  • Outstanding communication and active listening skills
  • Highly responsible and reliable with a professional presentation
  • Good interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and confidence
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • The ability to cope under pressure
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Good sales skills, both over the telephone and face-to-face.
